This project involved the restoration of a home’s exterior building envelope following extensive water intrusion to the OSB sheathing, particularly surrounding the windows, upper wall, and door jambs that led to rot in the wall assembly. After removing the existing siding and exterior finishes, damaged sheathing, deteriorated framing, and compromised material surrounding the door and wall areas were identified and replaced. We concluded the project with the installation of a new weather-resistant barrier, and prepared for new exterior cladding.
